Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team? Hand in work on time (per the eCampus requirements).
Be respectful and responsible.
Read all of the instructions posted in the assignment descriptions carefully as not to miss any part of the team, or even the individual assignments.
If any of us should fall ill, be sure to offer assistance in helping with the team assignment (hence the word TEAM).
Good luck, and have fun
Jeff: As a team we need to establish clear deadlines for work to be turned in. These deadlines need to establish time frames for completion which allow for work to be properly combined and submitted. We also need to establish a clear standard for communication. This will allow the team to help each other is any individual is having trouble meeting deadlines and will avoid last minute crisis situations with the group work.
E Jaramillo: If a team member should experience any type of difficulties they should reach out to team members for help. (IE: if they don’t understand the assignment). If a team mate is going to be late on a deadline or having any other problems they should inform the team asap.
Expectations for Time Management and Involvement
(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
Let the other team members know (either through chat, email, or LT posts) when you will be available (or not available) for participation in our LT assignment, that way we can get an idea of when we have to complete what part of the assignment. Let us know when we can reach you, in the event that we need information (contact info or assignment related).
Jeff: I feel team communication is vital to the success of us all on this project. I feel it is in our best interest to read all postings from team members and post at least once if not twice a week to let the team know where we stand on our portion of the assignment.
E. Jaramillo: The team should have involved discussions pertaining to the LT Assignment. That way each team member has hands-on each part of the LT Assignment. I think we should be posting as often as our time allows in order to discuss team assignments each week. If a team member has an emergency or will be away for any period of time they should let the team know as soon as they are able.
Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?
We will have a system to let each other know what day and time we have access to a computer, and let each other know what part of the project each of us are working on (As not to over-lap each other). We will primarily use the LT forum, as that is the most important place to post out team discussions, as well as personal contact information and the chat tool available on the eCampus. If a team member is not collaborating or contributing, we will first use all of the communication resources available to us to try to contact the individual and let them know that their part of the assignment is late and counts as part of a team grade, and to be prompt and ask them appropriately to hand in the
