Executive Summary Student Ambassador training at the University of Advanced Studies can be vastly improved and more efficient by addressing the following issues.

Recognition of what special experience/information a Student Ambassador brings to their job
The first area to tackle will be creating an online scheduling tool on the University website, since 100% of the visitors check the website before they come to the school, the creation of a “schedule tour visit” will be a key feature on the website as a way to minimize drop in tours along with a statement that tours can be scheduled 24 hours in advance. This way the University doesn’t have to have SA on hand waiting for unexpected guests, but can email SA when notification of a tour happens. The training will become more comprehensive by creating an online training tool consisting of five parts (where the SA have been in deficit) before they may be selected to become an Ambassador. The creation of surveys for the Student Ambassadors and Visitors who have visited the school will give us constant and necessary feedback of where the University can improve. And finally, capitalization of the special skill set that each Student Ambassador brings to his or her job including speaking different languages, comparison of other Institutions s/he may have previously attended and also possible connections those students may have to other people with extensive knowledge of certain programs.
