In America as a citizen you have the right to vote. Voting gives you the opportunity to be heard it gives you a say so on your future and whose hands it should be put into. Your vote could mean the candidate you chose could be the one to run our country and have the future of the country in their hands. Barack Obama first came into office in 2008.He did not start off with a fresh clean slate but a clutter of confusion and concerned citizens. Previous to Obama coming into office almost 800,000 jobs were being lost a month. Now we’ve seen a tremendous growth in jobs and 5.4 million new private sector jobs. It’s not a complete transformation however, it’s a start. How many people do you know that have ended a war, got kids to eat better food in school and raised two teenage girls without pulling their hair out? Many Romney voters are looking at what Obama hasn’t done, but what about what he has done? On December 18th, 2011 the last troops were brought home from Afghanistan. "After nearly 9 years, America's war in Iraq will be over," said Mr. Obama. This was one of the major concerns of many people across the country. Both candidates feel our troops needed to be pulled out however; Obama gave a date and made it happen to where as Romney wanted to make the date later. Both candidates have similar motives yet approach them differently. Romney opposes abortion he also plans to put a stop to federal aid of Planned Parenthood. Obama supports abortion he has also created a law where contraceptives are required to be given for free to women who are under a healthcare plan. The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) reports someone in the United States is sexually assaulted every two minutes, and on average there are 207,754 victims (age 12 or older) of sexual assault every year. A 1996 study in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology reported that “among adult women an estimated 32,101 pregnancies result from rape each year.” Should these women be forced to have these children they did not willingly conceive? Romney is proposing increase in military spending, he would also increase the strength in armed forces including the number of troops and warships and adding almost $100 billion dollars to the pentagon budget in 2016. When Obama came into office he inherited about $15.2 trillion dollars in debt. To increase the money spent on war funds would put us even further back and reduce the amount of debt President Obama has got us out of.The are numerous amount of students that attend colleges around the world each fall , unlike public school

Presidency is a complex and often contradictory institution, which is nevertheless vital to the American government system. While certain political laws constrain one president, they liberate another. Whatever is good for one president, results in failure for another. definition of democracy involves creating time for ourselves in order to create a brighter future. The United States Government should understand that by creating reforms in order to make Election Day a national holiday, Congress must allow fellow voting Americans more time flexibility on Election Day in order to allow our voices and thoughts to be heard. Democracy and freedom do not mean the same thing. According to John T. Wenders, “Freedom and democracy are different. Democracy addresses how affairs…
