Alliance: A formal agreement or treaty between two or more nations to cooperate for specific purposes.
Allies: The member nations of NATO
Anschluss: To bring to a state of peace, quiet, ease, calm, or contentment, pacify, soothe. To appease an angry King.
Anti-Semitism: Discrimination against or prejudice or hostility towards Jews.
Annexed: To incorporate (territory) into the domain of a city, country, or state: Germany annexed part of Czechoslovakia.
Attrition: A reduction or decrease in numbers, size, or strength.
Arena: The Oval space in the center of a roman amphitheater for gladiatorial combats or other performances.
Armament: The arms and equipment with which a military unit or military apparatus is supplied.
Artillery: Mounted projectile-firing guns or missile launchers, mobile or stationary, light or heavy, as distinguished from small arms.
