General Purpose: to let the audience know what drones do.
Thesis: military drones are the international security.
Intro a. Do you get curious what new technology is being built when the media mentions the military? b. Well the answer is the military's eyes in the sky, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). c. You are all familiar with the UAV from Call of Duty Black Ops right? Well there are many types of drones people forget about like helicopter UAVs. d. history, pros of weaponry, and cons of weaponry

a. UAVs are remote operated drones. i. In 1916 the first prototype UAV was built out of wood and tins and was tested to spy in Afghanistan. 1. -------------------------------------------------

Compared to the technology we have now back at this time they used an oversized propeller, and horse power engine. ii. Around that time during World War 1, scientists ran more tests on UAVs and invented the drone called Aerial Torpedo. 1. This type is more like a suicide drone because this was loaded with explosives then guided to impact enemy hostiles.
[TRANSITION: As drones were originally used for watching hostile movement, the military got more dangerous missions and had to upgrade them to "predators".]
a. (Pros) i. Tactical UAVs do have their advantages to dangerous missions. 1. -------------------------------------------------

They do a sharp scan on how dangerous hostiles are and are able to take them out. 2. No risk on losing a pilot's life on hostile grounds. 3. Are able to take out armored ground vehicles so US soldiers have an opening to pass through.
[TRANSITION: UAV Predators are really useful in keeping our soldiers safe on missions, but you can't always rely on flying machines to get the job done.]
