 UC Berkeley was founded during the gold rush by the founding fathers of California. It is known for its scientifi c discoveries and research. It was here at UC
Berkeley that Vitamin E was discovered, the fl u virus identifi ed, and our nations fi rst ‘no-fault’ divorce law was drafted.
 To date, 22 UC Berkeley faculty members have been awarded Nobel Prizes.
