Degree Discovery Day For my campus report I decided to take an occupational approach to my event. What better event to attend to get career information than Degree Discovery Day. The DDD took place in the Milo Bail Student Center's Ballroom, on September 17 from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. My friend and I went together because we both take a First Year Seminar class, and we also have to do the same project. I did not get out of my Spanish class until 11:20 that Wednesday morning, so I met her around 11:30 at the student center. First off, we had no clue where the ballroom was located, so it took us about five minutes to find it. After we became aware of where it was, I realized I did not have my MAV card with me. Fortunately, the sponsors let me sign in manually instead of having to walk back to University Village to grab it. When I finally got the chance to look around at the different degree programs, I found the event to be greatly beneficial. Since I am majoring in Psychology, that was my first stop. I learned so much more about the program here. The most interesting information was that UNO's Psychology program is very competitive. The program only accepts three to four students a year, therefore I really have to be on my A game. I also enjoyed the Black Studies and Business degree tables. One thing I found awesome was that there was a drawing for a free parking pass. I don't drive but I

the fastest ever 40-yard dash time recorded at 4.12 seconds. The story of Bo Jackson is so interesting because although he had so much success in both sports, which was absolutely unheard of, it was halted a bit short due to an injury. In a playoff game in the 1991 NFL season, Jackson suffered a serious hip injury that seriously threatened his professional career. After surgery, it was discovered that he had avascular necrosis, which resulted in decreased blood supply to his left hip. He continued…
substantial time commitment from students. It is critical to not fall behind. Students should attempt all homework problems and then review these problems after class. Understanding the homework rather than memorizing the answer is a key element for success in this class. Textbook and required reading: Intermediate Accounting, Fifteenth Edition by Kieso, Weygandt & Warfield is required. You should bring your textbook to each class. I strongly recommend that you also read The Wall Street Journal…
titled “The Shame of College Sports” which included a disturbing story about the treatment of a college athlete. In 1974, running back Kent Waldrep suffered paralysis after a hard tackle during a game while attending Texas Christian University (TCU). The university paid his medical bill for nine months, but then refused to pay anymore expenses because of his “student athlete” status. For sixteen years his family battled TCU in the courts trying to obtain “workers compensation” benefits. In June…
of the public will associate with the state; those three things would be the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and University of Kentucky basketball. Basketball in Kentucky is an unrivaled tradition in this state and it’s fandom spreads much farther than the borders of the state. Just last year I was in Nassau in the Caribbean Islands and a local man noticed my University of Kentucky shirt and began doing the famous “C-A-T-S” chant. How did basketball become so huge in a region of the nation…

Professor Agbatutu BUSN 5600 Webster University History In 1937 Vernon Rudolph bought a doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French chef and began selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts to local grocery stores in Winston Salem, N.C.
