There are 15 versions since the standard and the most current is SQL Server 2014.
The following features were added to SQL Server 2014:
Memory optimization (In Memory OLTP)-improves performance and it is integrated into the SQL Server Engine
Windows Azure- allows to run on premises or in VM Wizard to host a database
Enhancements for SQL Server Backup and Restoration
Allows backup to URL for task and maintenance plans
Allows the server to manage backups to Windows Asure
Encryptions for backups

Better and new design for Cardinality Estimation-corporates assumptions and algorithms
Delayed Durability-transaction log can be controlled at the database lever
Enhancements for Always On Failover Cluster Instances and Always On Availability Groups
An Add Azure Replica Wizard, secondary replicas increased from 4 to 8
Secondary Replicas remain available for read workloads after being disconnected from the Primary
Failover cluster Instances (FCIs) can now use Cluster Shared Volumes (CSVs)
New System Function
Partition Switching and Indexing-individual partitioned tables can now be rebuild
Managing the Lock Priority of Online Operations
