Having worked for a large public company for a number of years, I feel we could take on many of their operating procedures to increase profit and market share. Firstly, I will begin with a comparison of public, private and voluntary companies in the housing sector.
Moat Housing, a public sector company, provides affordable housing for people who have low deposits or are unable to obtain a 100% mortgage. They are non-profit making and any profits are re-invested in the company. They are managed by a Board of Management which consists of independent people (some may be paid) and volunteers.
