When is the last time you picked up a newspaper or searched for a phone number using the Yellow Pages? If we think about these pages honestly we have to say that we do not look to these types of resources nearly as much as we used to. When you do a price comparison between e-marketing and traditional approaches to marketing, the numbers are amazing. Traditional marketing will typically cost somewhere between 2 and 3 dollars per lead. Broadcast mediums like television and radio cost somewhere between 10 and 40 dollars for each sale. Internet marketing can be as low as $.60 per lead to about $1.40 per lead. It is the most cost effective of the marketing strategies. There are several aspects to emarketing that makes it advantageous.
Marketing has pretty much been around for long time ago to now in one form or another. Since the day when humans first started trading whatever it was that they first traded, marketing was there. Marketing was the stories they used to convince other humans to trade. Humans have come a long way since then, and marketing has too. But what is marketing? "Marketing is the chance to define something--anything--not only for yourself but for an entire industry and for years to come is a rare opportunity indeed". (Keefe, Lisa M. (2004), “What Is the Meaning of ‘Marketing’?” Marketing News, (September 15), 17–18.) The methods of marketing have changed and improved, and we've become a lot more efficient at telling our stories and getting our marketing messages out there. eMarketing is the product of the meeting between modern communication technologies and the age-old marketing principles that humans have always applied. Emarketing has a lot of advantages. May be one day, eMarketing can replace the traditional marketing.
With the arrival of the Internet has brought many benefits such as low cost to transmit information and communication (media) to the large number of recipients, the message is transmitted in many different forms such as text, images, sounds, movies and games. The interactive nature of E-marketing, message objects can receive immediate feedback and communicate directly with the object sending the message. This is the major advantage of E-marketing compared to other forms. There is a report of Returnpart.com show that:
-Email opens on mobile devices increased by 34% from April 2011 through September 2011 as compared to the previous six-month period.
-“Finance” and “shopping” show above average webmail views as compared to other industries, at 49% and 48%, respectively.
-The industries leading the way in mobile email views are, not surprisingly, “social networking” (27%), “publishing” (26%), and “entertainment”(27%).

According to the report, there is a big amount of people who use internet and check email frequently. With that, eMarketing has a big change to expand. We live in an information age and when we are looking for something, we want it now! This is one advantage internet marketing has over traditional marketing. It is much quicker to type a product name in the search engine than it is to stand perusing through a phone book trying to find the right word with a listing under it. Sure it’s alphabetized to help us find things more quickly; but how many times do you stand there silently saying your ABC’s to figure out what comes next? An internet search yields much quicker results. This is one reason it is important to have a web presence and employ proper E marketing strategies. Customers want what they want and they want it now! (Just like you and me) Getting your site to rank high in SERP gets your business in front of potential customers much quicker
