Full

A full backup involves making a copy of all the files on the system.

Differential
A differential backup is a cumulative backup of changes made since the last full backup. Every day the differential back up is made, the system adds further data that has changed since the last full backup.

Incremental

This type of backup backs up the files which have changed since the last full backup. This type of backup is useful because it is possible to habe an adult trail of the file changes.
