Step 1
: Pick a movie – picking the right movie is very important.

: Decide which characters/symbols/situations are archetypes.
Step 3
: Time to go to the internet. You have two choices – you may choose to use an archetype definition already provided to you by me, or you may look up one on the internet. Either way, you must find a definition for the archetypes.
Step 4
: Highlight the words/phrases in the definition that apply to the character/symbol/situation.
Step 5
: Write a paragraph that combines specific examples of how the character/symbol/situation and the aspects of the archetype highlighted in step 4 are similar.

Definition for the archetype: "A sensitive being, he understands .
Tortured
, secretive , brooding, and unforgiving. That’s there's also vulnerable. He might be a wanderer or an outcast . In work he's creative, but probably also a loner" (Cowden).
Frodo Baggins is very sensitive to the dangers his traveling companions face. He understands that they could all die trying to return the ring. He is tortured by the weight of the ring. He tried to run away because he knew the ring was dangerous. He makes himself an outcast when he separates himself from the fellowship of the ring. He tries to keep the ring a secret from others because he is worried they might try to steal it.
Step 6
: Use “easybib.com” to make a works cited page for this assignment, and add your parenthetical documentation.
Step 7
: Use a computer program to create a multi­media presentation. The first slide will include the title of your movie as well as an image. Each slide will include an image and all of the information you will add to the next few pages. You will have at a total of at least 10 slides.
