Abstract
The research paper tells about good and bad eating habits. I would compare and contrast the two ads. The first ad is about fast foods and I would be discussing how unhealthy it is to eat fast food and how fast food ads are changing the way we think about our eating habits. Also, I would be discussing the bad effects on our health. In the Second ad, I would be discussing about healthy drinks their healthy effects. How Skinny water ad is really trying to convince the public on how to drink healthy and stay healthy. I also discuss the difference between these two ads. How the skinny water ad is more effective then the fast food ad
In fast food advertisement and skinny water advertisement they’re a difference between these two ads. Fast food advertisement is advertising on fast food that is bad for the health. And Skinny water advertisement is advertising on how skinny water is healthy and good for the health. People’s life today is not like how it was before. A while ago, people drank and ate very healthy food. They ate food that didn’t contain chemicals, preservatives, artificial colors, and artificial flavors. People also took a long time to cook food there for, the foods that they had were healthy foods. That’s why they didn’t get sick or faced health problems and they lived longer. In the fast food ad unhealthy eating has become very common over the years in society. This has been as a result, of laziness in making good eating decisions. The importance of having a good nutrition cannot be over emphasized as it provides numerous benefits.
The advertisement, skinny water is more effective by its looks because it is eye catching by their logo “Strut Your Skinny” and also by attractive models in the ad. Skinny water not only does it come with flavor water but with healthy vitamins and low-calories, which is why the majority of people prefer skinny water. On the other hand, Fast food is promoting there logo of “All you can eat” which means that no matter how much food you stuff your self with, the food is never enough. Fast food cares about making people happy and satisfied but in the long run they are really hospitalizing them with chronic diseases. The fast food advertisement has shown that some places have disproportionate calories in each meal. Fast foods like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s and others are comfortable serving high calorie food to the public. But, that’s the leading factors to our health problems like over weight Gain and Obesity, Cardiovascular Conditions, Diabetes and stroke. In natural health article states “ Overweight and obesity is now epidemic in the United States, affecting two out of three adults. The proportion of overweight children is also increasing at an alarming rate, growing 50% in the past ten years to about 15%.” Which is a growing concern across the country.
Promoting fast food is dangerous because, it can lead to high rates of obesity. Obesity qualifies as a disease, whether obesity is a condition or disease. Obesity is an abnormal high proportion of body fat. Body fat simply can be measured by body weight in proportion to height, which is the usual way of determining if an individual is overweight obese, or at normal, healthy weight. A physician or a doctor can make a determination if a patient is truly obese by calculating the body mass. The body mass calculated by dividing the body weight in kilograms by height in meters squared. The main problem with obesity is that it is an indicator of medical conditions for example: diabetes and heart problems also linked with obesity. According to American Heart association article “70 percentage of Americans are either overweight or obese. Being obese puts you at a higher risk for health problems such as heart disease and stroke”.
In the advertisement, It shows eating fast food is okay to east but
battles were fought on trenches, sea, and land. Poison gas were used to physically damage hordes of people while killing off the lucky ones, submarines (U-boats) were able to destroy ship in stealth, and heavy armoured tanks were used to easily destroy anything coming at its way. To start, battles in trenches before the use of poison gas were brutal and long lasting. Many soldiers would die from diseases and infections and artillery shells. Poison gas was first used by the French using xylyl bromide…

Well today we are going to go behind the scenes and discover the origin of cannabis in America, what kind of people use medicinal marijuana, and the effects it has on its users. In 1619 Jamestown colony law declared that all settlers were permitted to grow hemp. George Washington grew hemp at Mount Vernon as one of three primary crops. Hemp fiber was widely used throughout history. Items ranging from rope, to fabrics, to industrial materials were made from hemp fiber. But only in in 1850’s is where…

There are many smokers in the world today, and many are discussing about to ban smoking at parks and other public venues. It is still hard for a lot of people to do not smoke in indoor public venues, such as bars and clubs. Non-smoker people are saying that they do not want smokers in public venues, such as in parks, anymore. Smoking should be banned to reduce disease. A main support for that reason is that people who smoke are more likely to develop diseases such as lung cancer and liver cirrhosis…
In the early 1770’s the first cars were being produced, when these cars were being made there was much experimentation in the auto industry trying to find the right way to create an efficient vehicle that would be drivable daily. These cars used many forms of power such as gasoline, steam, or electricity (Early Cars: Fact Sheet for Children Web). By the time 1905 rolled around the automotive industry started to produce a gasoline dominant market. Many Americans of the time would purchase vehicles…
This question is indeed thought provoking. Carson gives examples to back up her claims, lending merit to her case. We know from her list of citations found in the back of her book that her examples are valid. She points out that in the mid 1940’s over two-hundred basic chemicals were created. These chemicals were “…totally outside the limits of biological experience “, used in what she calls “man’s war against nature” (757), these chemicals were created to kill insects, weeds, rodents, and other…
practitioners using different methods including blood of a black dog, fire, and mirrors. From it’s archaic history to modern times, zombies have been feared by the living for many millenia crossing multiple continents and know no cultural bounds. Today, our idea of zombies stem from one man, George A. Romero. Romero’s movie, “Night of the Living Dead”, as shown in figure 2, is known as the beginning of the zombie fever in the Western world. In the early stage of zombification in the West, the origin of the outbreak was…
Professor at Louisiana State University studied DNA in organisms; in the 1980’s he helped marked the scientific discovery that specific pieces of DNA could be transferred from one organism to another (Cramer, 2001). This became the basis of the genetic modification process. In 1983 the first genetic altered plant was a tobacco plant that was resistant to anti-biotics when first created (Cramer, 2001). Elizabeth Wiese, a USA Today Reporter researched on the history of GMOs for the upcoming labeling debate…
ON WRITING: A MEMOIR of the CRAFT By Steven King Task#1: C.V. Steven King begins this book by revisiting his childhood to describe how he became what he is today. In the beginning section, he uses lots of literary elements to create clear and vivid pictures of his childhood. For example he writes, “The pain was brilliant, like a poisonous inspiration.” (19) He uses this simile to vividly describe being stung in the ear. One can almost feel pain in his or her ear from this description. Another…
