1. What are the differences between being a biological parent, an adoptive parent, and a foster parent? A biological parent consists of a person whose cell resulted in a child during fertilization in organisms that sexually reproduce. An adoptive parent is granted all parental rights by a court. Therefore the child is legally apart of the family. Foster parents provide a home, food and clothes for children who are not able to be with their biological parents due to certain circumstances.

2. What financial needs are parents obligated to provide and which are optional?
The financial needs that is required for a child is food, clothing and shelter. There are also basic financial needs that are needed such as: school supplies, hygienic products or equipment for an extra curriculum that a child is apart of. Buying video games/systems or providing a child with money to go to the movies is optional to my own opinion.

3. What other needs might a child have that a parent is expected to provide?
Parents are expected to provide a safe home environment for a child and also teach the child some ways to practice safety procedures way from the home. They should also give them the attention and affection that is needed when it’s required and even when its not.

4. What are the qualities of a nurturing parent?
A nurturing parent should always make sure their children know that they love them, even when they’ve do something wrong. Encourage their children and praise them of their achievements and talents.

My view of a good parent is one that takes their time out to show their child the aspects of life itself. Parents that guide their child in the right direction but also let them make their own decisions. Showing discipline without abuse and always encouraging them to strive for their goals. A parent’s love will always play a big factor in a Childs life and is needed everyday. I don’t believe that there are bad parents but I do believe that there are people who don’t know how to provide a good stable life for a child and it’s because they weren’t provide with one when they were a child.
