I will present information regarding the possibility of investing our money in The Supreme Courts, a full-service multisport complex in Henderson, Nevada. The report will discuss the facility's mission, objectives, market analysis, and the start-up requirements. It then evaluates the organization, format, and writing style along with strengths and weaknesses of the company's business plan.

Company Mission

Situated along Boulder Highway in the Las Vegas Valley, The Supreme Courts is a multisport and fitness complex designed to be used by residents of Henderson and the surrounding areas. Because there are currently no other sports facilities like this within 100 miles, I believe there are great possibilities for success. The mission for the complex would be to provide the best programs, staff, and equipment to fully meet the various sports and fitness needs of the members while generating a profit. Also, The Supreme Courts strives to support and sponsor community events, as well as host them whenever possible.

Objectives

The main objectives for The Supreme Courts are as follows:

1. Sell 800 memberships in year one, 1,200 by the end of year two, and 1,600 by the end of year three.

2. Organize and develop various sports leagues and market them effectively to fill capacity. (seven leagues running twice a year with 8-12 teams per league)

3. Sponsor and/or support four community events in the first year of operation.

4. Show at least a 5% return to investors in the first year of operation.

Made up of a strong marketing team with the goal of making The Supreme Courts a common name in the Las Vegas Valley, I foresee the complex having no problem reaching its year one goal of 800 memberships. Furthermore, with the complex's solid dedication to the community they may want to consider increasing the yearly goal of 1,600 memberships by end of year three to 2,000 memberships. By creating an unmatched "cool" atmosphere that people can enjoy through the use of first class equipment, floors, colors, and big screen TVs, I believe people will want to frequent the facility often. Thus the complex's ability to retain members will be enhanced creating more revenue. Start-up Requirements

The start-up requirements come to $2,500,000, broken up into $336,500 is assumed capital, $1,250,000 coming from long term (20 year) bank loan, and the remainder from investors. Costs include the land, building, all development costs, equipment, and start-up capital.
After researching the average start-up costs for this industry, these figures including interest rates and tax rates are based on conservative assumptions. This includes important underlying assumptions such as the risk of a major recession in the near future.

Market Analysis

Over the past 10 years, memberships at health clubs rose from 20.7 million to 30.6 million. This trend is projected to continue over the next 10 years. Not only that, but frequent users of fitness clubs soared by 84% during the same time period. From recent surveys of over 360 fitness clubs, the eight most profitable programs for fitness centers were identified. The Supreme Courts offers six of these eight, including the top three. Due to the market demand for fitness clubs in Henderson, this is an ideal opportunity for our investment group to benefit from future profits in this facilities bright future.
