Darkness
I awoke in a cold sweat in the darkness of my cold, dank apartment; I looked around still dazed from my dream. It was the same dream I had been having all week, though it was more like a nightmare. Jumping out of bed and throwing the blankets to the floor I opened my shutters. Light poured into the room almost instantaneously and again I was content. The only thing I could think about though was that devilish dream. Dying. And I all I could see after was darkness, darkness darker than you can ever have closing your eyes in the night. No light at the end of the tunnel. Looking at the clock I saw it was time to get to school though I knew my college entrance exams were going to be murder. Bad enough to change my entire life forever. I grabbed a coat put on a fresh pair off pants and I was out the door. I walked down a street in my neighborhood that was never home to any college graduate. In fact I probably wouldn't make it myself.
Would it be so bad it so if I didn't pass this test. If I didn't succeed and ruin my life.
As I walked all I could do was ponder life.
Is it just a game? Who cares about life really when you think about it? After you die it goes on without you it doesn't stop for anyone especially a little person like me. Everyone you ever knew lives on without you. After realizing that I couldn't help but smile. People around me who had seen me before stood on their stoops and waved. I couldn't care less. I just
