Once upon a time there lived a beautiful lady called Alison, she was twenty years old. She lived in a small village in Aberavon, with her little sister Nia and father Delwyn. They lived in a ginormous castle that surrounded the village. Delwyn was the King of Abervon. He was a man of honesty and he had a lot of courage. In the village lived a lot of people, none of the people where suffering, they had enough money to survive, so everyone was strong and mighty.
While in England lived a horrid, greedy and selfish King called Branwen who lived with his stuck up son called Anwen, and he thought he was more important than any other person in the world. Branwen didn’t care about his people and treated them as though they were animals. He kept all his money to himself so if anything happened he would be able to save himself and his son, not anyone else.
When Alison was eight years old her mother Catrin died. Branwen drowned her in the magic lake that was deep into the woods, as though he was jealous that Delwyn had a wealthy family. Everyone thought they were; kind, honest, generous, and faithful. Selfish Branwen was not satisfied that everyone looked up to them, not to him.
Every evening Alison and Nia would go down to the lake to speak to the lady of the lake. They missed their mum as human but they knew that she would always be there for them as Queen of Abervon and the Underwater Kingdom. Catrin was very powerful. She could control the whole lake, which was flowing to the sea. The creatures that lived in that lake were unbelievable and extraordinary. One day Alison was going to see her mother, but she saw someone already standing there talking to her mother. She came closer and saw a young man approximately her own age in a black cloak with a beautiful white horse waiting for him by a willow tree. She heard her mother call him Gwyn. Alison thought about that name then remembered her father telling her about him, that he was the owner of a powerful dragon. He said, that the dragon was one of the village’s strongest weapon. If there were any battles the dragon would be their only hope. Alison slowly started walking towards them. Then Catrin told Gwyn, that Alison was her daughter and she is alright to listen to their conversation. Gwyn introduced himself to the princess, and she introduced herself back. She started liking him the moment he flung his hood off his head. Catrin told Alison about the dragon and the secrets of Abervon, she told her to keep their conversation a secret as it was not to be heard by anyone.
Alison asked Gwyn kindly if she could see the dragon, Gwyn agreed. He climbed onto his white horse then pulled Alison up with him. Then they both said goodbye to Catrin and road off into the distance. Alison looked over Gwyn’s shoulder and saw Mountain’s joined together pointing up to the sky all connected just like a palace for a dragon. There was a small gap in-between the two mountains that Gwyn and Alison climbed into. Alison stopped riskily and looked around in amazement. Then she saw the ginormous dragon resting on a massive slated rock. The dragon had beautiful red skin and it had shimmering emerald eyes. The dragon looked up at her then sat up, Alison got scared and took a few steps back. Gwyn introduced Alison to the dragon and told the creature that she was not a threat but a friend. Gwyn told the dragon that it was time for a ride around Wales and they have got a companion with them, so no swooping or diving through the air. Gwyn carefully helped Alison up onto the dragon then jumped on the dragons back himself. Then they took off into the sky. As they went up Alison thought what a beautiful view there was, she could see all the rivers, lakes, mountains with other little villages underneath her. After the long journey Alison thanked Gwyn and said she is delighted to see the dragon and him any day. They climbed onto the horse and Gwyn gave her a ride home back to the castle.
