When taking the whole picture into account, the belief that animals should never be tested on for cosmetic use is the most supported viewpoint. As science constantly advances, so do the alternative methods that may replace animal testing. While animal testing for medicines that directly relate to life-or-death situations may be easier to support, testing for superficial needs is not worth the torture and cruelty done to animals. True understanding of what testing goes into products shows the often overlooked injustices plaguing animals; blissful ignorance results in the distress of millions of living, breathing, creatures. It is not ethically correct to test cosmetics on animals. Alternative methods to testing on animals exist and are accurate. With the advancement Some may say that animals are already being killed for consumption and other purposes so it is ok for them to be tested in cosmetics. The evidence has told that millions of animals are killed for cosmetics alone. These deaths should be prevented without this testing. There needs to be a line drawn somewhere for this problem to be made better. Even though testing could create "new" and "exciting" product, is it not worth the pain and eventual death caused to so many animals. Many others believe that testing on animals is the most correct way to determine that a product is safe for human use. Alternative methods have been found to be more effective at determining if products are safe for humans. Many for the use of animal testing believe that humans should be able to use animals for whatever purposes they deem necessary; animals are just for the enjoyment and purposes for man. All living things have purpose and should be treated humanely. The Humane society adds to this debate saying “Pain relief is rarely provided and the animals used are always killed at the end of each test” (Cosmetics). This pain is not humane to cause living

Humans share a lot of similarities with animals, some more than others (In 2005 researcher found that we share somewhere in between 98.6% and 99% of DNA with chimpanzees, and in 2012 it was found that we share 99.6% with Bonobos. Recent studies show that we also share a 90% of our genes with cats). Sharing big amounts of genetic data with animals makes them a target for psychological research, however what are the pros and cons of animals usage in their research. Will look at the ethicalness, usefulness…

There are many other things that can be used to obtain answers on diseases, viruses, or other harmful organisms. The creatures that suffer in these are most likely to die or get killed after they are done…

Many major discoveries have changed the medical field including antibiotics, insulin, vaccines for polio and cervical cancer; but there has been controversy on how these discoveries have been made. Many people believe that it is essential to use animals to research different drugs or chemicals to find the cause or cure to a disease, to make sure that the drug or cure is safe to use before it is tested on humans, and many people do not want to risk their lives testing an unknown…

studies can help to improve livestock and agriculture by enhancing the quality of the food supply and animals and we may even be able to save endangered animal species. Wouldn’t you like to know where the human race began? Maybe one day we will be able to find out with all the technology and testing being done. Furthermore, DNA testing has great benefits of solving crimes with forensic testing. It could find a criminal or in some cases free someone who has been wrongfully convicted of a crime.…
purposes of learning, testing, and treatment trials. Mankind is very much against the idea of willingly putting any human being at risk under these circumstances. Legally, no one will be forced to participate against their will. However, animals do not fall under the same legality. It is very often that scientists will perform these experiments and procedures on animals to learn about, and expand on, their proposed methods of medicine and treatment without damaging any human life. Animal activists have…
