In these few weeks, I getting better than before. Because I am know how to make a bowl, I can remember each process, know what should I do in each process. But there still have some skill problem when I making bowl, such as time control. I found that control timing is very important thing in making bowl process, if u glass was too cold and not reheat in right time, sometimes it can influences next process or fail. So control timing was big problem when I heading to next assignment. But, based on these few weeks learning, I got a ideas to solves this problem, that is I just written down the time. I can control how long did reheat taking, how long did glass will cold down, when u working in the bench. Before every time making glass, I should calm down to reflect on own error in last time, and draw some experiences. If I doing each step like this way, I think I can getting better in next stage of making glass bowl.
For the next stage, I will still making series of glass bowl, the ideas comes from my own subject silversmith how to make a pieces of brass to a bowl and how people can easy to hold a bowl.I will still work on how to make a bowl, making a different kind of bowl. Follow these ideas ,When people use hand to hold these bowls, they can feel this bowl have a unique shape and texture. Like i doing silver smith stuff, the brass bowl have strong texture and easy to hold, and nice shape. In addition, I try to create a sense of movement, when people use hand to hold them, can feel that. This idea comes from the bowl that I made a few weeks ago in class. The bowl that I made, it has a very creepy shape, when I hold in hand I feel it is quite easy to drop down.
