This paper is based on Internet of Things(IoT). This gives a detailed analysis of various applications based on IoT. This explains about how internet of things evolved from mobile computing and ubiquitous computing. It is developed by the fact that objects are connected over the internet rather than people. The properties of Internet of Things (IoT) are product information, electronic tag, standard expressed and uploading information. This technology mainly utilizes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and wireless sensor networks(WSN).
The concept of IoT is applicable in various domain like healthcare, supply chain management, defence and agriculture Lastly the paper focuses on the issues involved in the implementation of IoT.

In the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm, many of the objects that surround us will be on the network in one form or another. IoT is considered as the third wave of information technology with Internet and mobile communication network as predecessors. It was introduced by Electronic Product Code (EPC) Technology and research work of International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Initially data was available only on the internet, later on people were connected by means of e-mail and many other social networking. This has become outdated and the time has come for objects to be connected. And that is what IoT achieves. It is new type of internet application and the term “Thing” in its expansion Internet of things refers to the product’s information. Thus every object, be it a television or a tubelight, can be connected to the internet. The information about the object is shared across the globe via internet and hence the objects can be accessed from a remote place. The information regarding the object is embedded in an
It occupies a huge space in the life of people. The internet first evolved in the name of “internet of computers”. It is a global platform where many services could be implemented on top of it. It was an era of information exchange mainly due to services like World Wide Web. As the days passed by, people started emerging into the internet- “Internet of people”. Many social websites came into picture which kept people connected all the time. This intervention by the social websites led to internet being filled with people rather than information. On the other hand, technology has been advancing day by day and simultaneously an era of Mobile Computing(MobiComp) had begun. We can be always connected to the internet een during travel by means of mobile or any other portable device. In the recent days, 3G and 4G mobile internet connections have led to faster internet access and deliver better quality in video calls, surfing, etc. Wireless technologies and mobile computing have become cheap and has become more popular. Hence a new computing had emerged- Ubiquitous computing. This computing focuses on smart, intelligent space and minimal user involvement. The size of devices like mobile and other hand-held devices are diminished due to advancement in technology. Ordinary mobiles and PCs are replaced by Smart phones, Ipads, tablets and notebooks. Hence there was a change in the device with which people access
