Some may say my life is less than ordinary. I like to believe that my life is extraordinary. From the first time I gazed my eyes upon the pages of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone I knew that writing was something that I needed to pursue. The way J.K. Rowling enveloped me into this world of magic amazed me. I wanted to do this to people too, bring them into a world that was better than their own, a place where they could learn from their mistakes and make their lives better. For me, writing is a place where I can allow myself to roam free in my own thoughts. In the future I will continue to write and I will hopefully affect people’s lives in doing so. My life and my writing are the same; I put no constraints on them. I’ve seen too much loneliness and dullness to have the same plague infect me. Life is only a hundred years and a hundred years of my life will be spent trying to find out who I am, and why I am here. My goal is to follow a bucket list for the rest of my life. The things on my bucket list include, climbing the 7 tallest summits in the world, visiting the next Olympics, eating pasta in Roma, swimming with Dolphins, live homeless for a night, and to produce a New York Times Bestseller. My main goal in life is to move out west to California and get a job as a journalist. Journalism is a major that will allow me to write as a day job. Reporting real stories will hopefully spark my creativity, and allow me to do what I really love which is creating films, from the writing all the way through to editing the final product in post-production. Films are art. That’s the only way to describe them. Like a book they immerse viewers into foreign worlds where the viewers can become part of the story as it unfolds. Before I even began to think about writing, I was admiring the works of Nora Ephron in her directoral debut of When Harry met Sally…. I will always remember sitting with my mom in our tiny apartments’ living room, her laughter filling the air, the popcorn wedged in between us. From this point onward I have put Nora Ephron as one of my biggest inspirations, and the first person who showed me the world of film. The way she brings viewers into the comedic worlds she
