The Holocaust was the mass genocide of 11 million people, 6 million of those people being of the Jewish heritage. With over 9 million Jews living in Europe before, these demoralizing events annihilated two-third of the Jewish population (Stahinich 7). The other 5 million people were those of different minorities and sub-categories such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies, people with handicaps, homosexuals, and Communists (Stahinich 8). The Holocaust took place in many different European countries. Many of these events happened in Germany, which was the birthplace of the Nazi party. The leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler, had a plan to move eastward and conquer all of Europe and become a world power (Staninich 13). Hitler wanted for there to only be one race. Moreover, the Aryan race, which he dubbed supreme to all others. He wanted to terminate all of those who did not fall into his ideals of what was perfection (Rossle 14). Nevertheless, this was the birth of the Holocaust. The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining

few survivor stories of the Holocaust. The Holocaust is the ultimate example of genocide, which always starts as an idea and like a wild fire, it grows. I've seen this idea among people. Discrimination among differences still exists. After all the human falters in history, we still go back to the origins of that same evil that gave birth to unimaginable terrors only a few years ago. There is not one school I've ever attended with a curriculum that excludes the Holocaust. I've studied it many times…
been given another perspective. The Holocaust, a movement led by Adolf Hitler, is the event in which six million Jews were slaughtered irrationally. Yet, the Holocaust did not end in union with Hitler’s reign but arose in the form of abortion. This extremely controversial issue is a form of irrational slaughtering. It is the termination of a woman’s pregnancy by manually extracting the unborn from the womb. Humans were considered God’s children even before birth because “Before [God] formed you in…

The Prevalence of Death in Literature One of the most feared things in everyone’s life is the thought of death. There are many reasons that people fear death, the most common reason is the thought that nobody knows what happens after death. Most religions believe in some sort of life after death, although it has never been factually proven that there is life after death. There are also those who fear death because they do not want to cause pain towards their loved ones. However, there are some people…
Cameron Knudson Miss. Bernal English 1 3 March 2014 The Modern Day Holocaust According to Congressman, Henry Hyde, and former U.S. Surgeon, General C. Everett Koop; abortion is a 'modern day holocaust' (Opposing Viewpoints Series). Considering it has killed 50 million babies since 1973, I think this is a valid statement (Snyder, Michael). The actual definition of abortion from Dictionary.com is the removal of an embryo or fetus from a uterus in order to end a pregnancy. In other words, it is the…

between the Israelis and Palestinians is a deep and complex one and cannot be simply explained or solved. The United States, Britain, France, and many nations in the Middle East all had major parts in the birth of the Israeli state. Following events that took place in Europe, such as the holocaust, colonialism, and world wars, aided in the development of a Jewish state, which was established not under the Jewish peoples, but through the British occupied Palestine, who essentially created the state…
think there has to be a change in making it illegal. Abortion is an intentional violent act that kills an unborn baby. Without any anesthesia, the baby is dismembered, torn apart, and vacuumed out of the mother. In the case of a near-term or partial-birth abortion, the baby is turned around and pulled partially out with its head still inside the mother. The abortionist then plunges a sharp object into the back of its neck and vacuums out the brain. This is not a pleasant subject. It hurts to just imagine…
Franco rose to power as dictator. The Franco Regime banned/restricted many celebrations, languages, customs, media, political, and cultural ideas that are connected with Catalan Nationalism, Anarchism, Socialism, Democracy or Communism (the Spanish Holocaust). The Franco Regime is still a main cause of unrest throughout the Catalans even though they have since adopted the democratic Spanish Constitution in 1978. Today, the Catalans are still living as though they were under the Franco Regime. Thanks…
