The Enviro Kids

To the People’s Republic of China,

China is not reaching a golden age because of its environmental instability.

Problems

-The polluted air in China accounts for thousands of deaths.
-Cancer has now become China’s leading cause of death because there are so many dirt particles in the air.
-500 million people do not have access to cleaning drinking water.
-China’s farmland is turning into desert land due to lack of water.
-Since 1980, China’s grassland has shrunk by 15,000 square kilometers (the size of Connecticut).
-China’s gas emissions are the cause for acid rain in South Korea and Japan and clouds of dirt in U.S and Europe.

Solutions

-China can spend more money for manufacturing solar, wind, battery power, and cleaning up water.
This will also lead to new discoveries in innovation and technology.
-China can make their tolls more expensive and public transportation cheaper. Making public transportation less expensive will benefit human rights and will encourage citizens to take buses, trains, etc. instead of cars.
-Vehicles used for public transportation should be hybrid.
-Factories and homes/apartments should have stricter limits for burning coal. This will decrease gas emissions.
