A few years ago, while I was surfing the internet, I found a quote that held a deep meaning. “Every moment you get is a gift. Spend it on things that matter. Don’t spend it by dwelling on unhappy things. “Almost immediately, I felt deeply in love and inspired by it, and played the words over and over in my head, not wanting to forget them. However, the following week I came home tearing up because of getting a terrible mark on a test. And For the rest of the day, I felt the energy inside of me have almost drained away completely. I could not gain confidence in myself again no matter how my parents comforted me, and truthfully, I felt very left down and disappointed by myself. Suddenly, I remember the quote I discovered last week, and took it out. My eyes skipped to the last sentence. “Don’t spend it by dwelling on unhappy things.” Reading this made me feel slightly better, considering that I wasn’t the only one out there who experienced obstacles. My eyes slowly darted towards the rest of the quote. “Every moment you get is a gift. Spend it on things that matter. “Finally, after realizing that the quote was delivering a message that a few obstacles in life weren’t the end, I thought to myself, “instead of grieving over my mistakes, why don’t I learn from them and start working towards my future again?”This instantly made me feel better.
