The Daughters of Catulle Mendès
(1871–1964)
The Daughters of Catulle Mendès is one of the most attractive paintings of the nineteenth century at the Metropolitan museum. This gorgeous piece of art was hand-painted by the French artist Auguste Renoir (1841-1919).
In the image, there is a small flower vase, which has red and yellow flowers. The vase is sitting on top of a brown colored piano table this table is movable because it also has wheels that you can move it around. The three daughters are standing next to the piano table. The oldest daughter has her right hand on the piano keyboard. The second daughter is standing next to her holding a violin. The two of them are looking directly to you when you look at their eyes. The youngest daughter is on the other side of the piano table she is putting her hands on top of each other on the edge of the piano table, and she is looking to her sisters.
The beauty of this painting is that when you look at it, it looks real as it was a picture taken by a photographer. The colors match everything in an astonishing way, which gives credit to the painter. For example, dresses that the daughters are wearing have shown the style of the nineteenth century. In conclusion the beauty of this piece of art shows the professionalism of the work.
