1. Resolved : That the Roe v. Wade abortion law in the United States should be abolished.
2. As the affirmative I'm writing my own resolution and what's going to be my best argument to the status quo. I will first address the problem with the status quo, then offer a solution followed by some advantages to adopting my resolution.
3. Problem number one: The Roe v Wade law states that any women can have an abortion. Why take a innocent baby's life away? According to prolifeaction.org a baby's heart begins to beat 18 days from conception by 9 weeks from conception all the structures for pain sensation are functioning. So that means that they can feel any little thing. Solution: So many married couples who can't have kids waiting to adopt one. Why not have the child and make a family happy? Give it up for adoption. Problem number two: abortion may lead to many side effects, the most common being mental problems. According to wisconsinrighttolife.org In a study of post abortion patients, 44% of patients complained of nervous disorders 36% had experienced sleep disturbances 31% had regrets about their decision and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their doctor. Solution: If you don't abort then you won't have all these mental problems or other side effects that make your life miserable. Practice safe sex.
4. The Roe v Wade law should be eliminated for many reasons, as you can see I gave you guys two of them today. Like I said earlier why kill a innocent baby that has no reason for getting killed.
