I never really enjoyed reading or literature but then I found a book that changed everything. The book that did it was The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. This book introduced me to a fiction that was so surreal to me. I would be in class answering every question I possibly could the teacher would ask. I never thought I’d be the person in the class that would be the one to know everything, especially about a book. I would always resent the students who would answer every question. I felt like it would make the other students look bad. I would look forward to going to class everyday because we were allowed to read. This was the first book I’ve ever read that I was able to see what was happening in my head as I was reading. It all started as being mandatory to read. I was so interested I got ahead of the class while reading. My teacher augmented this experience because she would always attempt to make everything so much simpler and understanding. Every teacher attempts to do this, but there was something about the way she did it that just grasped my attention. There was a part in the book where it spoke about turkish delight. Nobody knew what that was so the very next day she came to class and brought some for us all. The turkish delight was in this tin tray, it was powdered with like a white sugar. As I bit into it, it was so sweet. It was really soft, tangy, and chewy. There was 2 flavors, orange and yellow. I received orange. It had no scent until I bit into it. I immediately smelled oranges in the air and for a moment it was as if time had stopped. I remember just being at my desk staring at this little chewy cube smelling oranges. I didn’t fully
