My company is a bakery that specializes in traditional treats such as cakes, cookies, and pies. We also offer you the exciting opportunity to come in to our bakery by appointment or class offering and decorate your very own special occasion cake. We have taken this approach because not everyone has the tools necessary to make that birthday or shower cake at home. For those that do not want to try their hand at decorating, we offer cakes made to order as well. We want to welcome people of all ages to come in and try their hand at cake decorating with us. The structure I have chosen for my business is first of all a sole proprietorship. This structure is a good fit for me because it will be the simplest to establish. I know that I will be responsible for all of the taxes and all liabilities that go along with this. I know that I will also be responsible I have no protection in the event something should happen. I will also assume all debt and financial responsibilities. I will have sole ownership in my bakery. Personally, I feel that this is the best route for me to go since it will be a small business with me and a few employees to help run things. Starting a sole proprietorship will allow me to make all the decision associated with my business. This will make things more manageable for me and allow for quicker turnaround when needed.
