What the brain does:Your brain is more powerful, more complex and more clever than any computer ever built. It is constantly dealing with hundreds of messages from the world around you, and from your body, and telling your body what to do.
It gets the messages from your senses - seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching and moving. The messages travel from nerve cells all over the body. They travel along nerve fibres to nerve cells in the brain.

1. Which Organ system contains your organ?
The Central Nervous System (CNS) includes the brain and spinal cord. The Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) connects the CNS to other parts of the body, and is composed of nerves.

2. What are the organ’s main functions? There are 6 functions of the brain.
Thinking or cognition
Perception or sensing
Emotion or feeling
Behaviour
Phisial or Somatic
Signaling-(being responsive and reating to the enviroment)

3. How does your brain work with other systems to keep the body healthy?
The heart helps the brain by giving it blood which has oxygen, which the brain needs

4. Which diseases or disorders affect your organ?
The following are causes of brain disorders: trauma to the brain stroke (restricted or reduced oxygen and blood in the brain that leads to cellular death) viral infections (viruses may cause inflammation and swelling in the brain’s tissue) disease and cancer abnormal growths (tumors) inherited conditions that affect the brain change in your brain’s electrical pathways
