OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM

September 11, 2001 a day that changed the U.S drastically and began the mourning of millions if not billions of Americans. The beginning of a war on terrorism but first finding out who they are, where they’re from, what caused this level of terrorism, and why?

First we need to strategize, by this time we know the who- al Qaeda of Afghanistan- now all we need to do is strategize. During this time in the early twenty-first century Afghanistan’s economy was low and it was difficult for them to obtain a strong central government. The struggle left them either dead, missing, or poor close to 5.5 million refugees. Also thee U.S supplied arms and money to the Afghan mujahedeen and even training. The United States ahs attempted to attack the terrorist in Afghanistan before when Clinton was president in 1998. A handful of missiles were prepared to launch but it would have added a lot more fuel to the fire and we- the U.S- decided tit was best if troops on ground locate and kill the terrorist.

Before, combat troops were tested extremely harsh with tactics that haven’t been witnessed since Vietnam. The U.S Army Operations along with allies from Afghanistan had elaborate plan to defeat groups such as the Taliban as well as Al Qaeda with in a month. Training clearly was a big part of the success in over coming big blows from terrorist. The entire U.S military joined together in Operation Anaconda to return fatal blows to the Taliban and Al Qaeda in which the U.S came out of victorious.
