Arrival at Strathclyde
Whether coming from within the UK or abroad there are some important things all students must do when they arrive at Strathclyde to ensure your transition into university life starts smoothly (please tick the boxes).
Register & Pay Tuition Fees
Every student must register for each year of their registration process will work for you please see www.strath.ac.uk/student/startatstrath/ Tuition fees for the session should be paid when you register, further information on fees and how to pay can be found on the Registration page.
Early Card Collection
We are offering early card collection to UK/EU students who have registered and uploaded a photo from
Monday 1st September until Friday 12th September.
Your card can be collected from the McCance Building from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm during these dates.
Attend Faculty/Departmental
Welcome Session
It is important that you attend any welcome sessions organised by your department as they will contain important information about your timetable and lectures which will help you get the best start on your course. Payment dates will vary depending on who is issuing the loan; generally your loan will be registration process.
Register with a Doctor
If you are not already registered with a doctor in
Glasgow it is important that you do this as soon as possible. All students are entitled to free access to the National Health Service. The Student Health www.strath.ac.uk/studenthealth/ Ensure your Contact
Information is Accurate
It is important that you always keep your emergency contact details, your address and contact telephone number up to date on your PEGASUS record.
Library Access and your IT
Account
The Andersonian Library is in the Curran Building.
Your student card also acts as your library card and is needed to gain entrance to the library. For full information on the library including opening time and facilities, please see www.strath.ac.uk/is/
You will already have access to PEGASUS; you should ensure you check your Strathclyde email provided via email.
Insurance
If you are living away from home you should arrange insurance for your personal possessions so that if anything gets lost or stolen you can replace it easily. Endsleigh Insurance specialises in deals for students www.endsleigh.co.uk

Week. Welcome week activities are a great opportunity to see what else is available to you while you are a student at Strathclyde including the Centre for Sport and Recreation and great variety of clubs organised and run by your Students

There are some additional things you should do when you arrive
Accommodation Office
Attend the welcome meeting for your residence you will receive your invitation when you arrive.

Come along to the International Welcome Office at the Aroma Café in The Lord Todd (Sat/Sun) and Crave
Café in Livingstone Tower (Mon-Fri) where you can ask any questions you may have about settling in to the University. The Welcome Office is staffed by student ambassadors who will be happy to help you!

Register with the Police
If your visa states you must register with the police, an appointment will have been made for you at
(OVRO) Glasgow. It is important that you attend this appointment as
