This means that when a person is ill they can get paid £88.45 pounds up to 28 weeks, after the 28 weeks is up it is unpaid leave, Sick pay starts when you have been ill for four days in a row, also you will need proof to show that you have been ill. 1.2 Main features of current employment legislation; Health & Safety; General responsibilities of employees at work is to take care for the health & safety of herself/himself or other people who could be affected by their acts. Employers must adhere with the acts;
