Tastes Great and Less Filling I went to Chili’s for the Super Bowl. It was jam- packed. As I was seated by the waitress, I looked around and noticed all of the different people and what they were drinking. They were from different social classes, and the beer they were drinking reflected that. Some were drinking imported beer; some were drinking American beer, while others were drinking what’s on tap.
The first category of beer drinkers preferred premium and regular Imports. A premium beer drinker drinks beer such as Orval, Gulen Drake, and Hobgoblin. These beer drinkers are usually working professionals, or businessmen, or woman. These businessmen, or woman, may go home or to the bar to have themselves a beer or two. They are more concerned about their social status and appearance, so they drink these premium beers. When they get their bar tab for fifty dollars for four beers, they say,” That’s about right.” The regular imported beer drinker drinks beer such as Heineken, Stella Artois, and Guinness beer. These beer drinkers are usually the ones who don’t like American beer. They wouldn’t get caught drinking a Natural Ice or a Pabst Blue-Ribbon beer because it’s too cheap for them. They are the ones that collect the beer bottles that they have drunk and display them around the house like trophies. Some Americans enjoy their imported; some like good old American beer. The American beer drinker drinks beer such as Miller, Budweiser, and Coors. This is the good old hard working American work force, factory workers, construction workers, and general labor; they piss and bleed red, white, and blue. They also make sure that people know that they are true Americans by purchasing American- made brews (although none of the top American breweries are owned by Americans).American micro beer drinkers drink beer such as Sam Adams, New Belgium, and Bells. These beer drinkers tend to care more about beer than the average Budweiser, Miller, or Coors drinkers. These beer drinkers are more concerned about taste and brewing style. They care more about how much hops and yeast are in the beer. We may hear one of them say, “I wonder
