Communication is a skill that a person learn like riding a bicycle or typing. Although many people nowadays tend to use more email and instant messaging in order to communicate with others, some people think that the better form of communication is face to face communication. As for me, I firmly agree with this statement. In my opinion, face to face communication is always the best way of communicating it’s simpler, more expressive, and more personal. To start with, face to face interaction is the simplest way of communicating, and it doesn’t require any technology. They can talk as much as they want, in doing a face to face communication. According to Dr.Robert Lawrence, a Ph.D certified researcher about communication once stated that, “others types of communication implede customers to take long and there is no quality conversation.” Also a person cannot sent or receive emails if they don’t have internet accessible computer. The problem that lies with digital forms of communication that it is highly impersonal. Moreover, trying to make your digital communication seem more friendly or personalized ruin the risk of being misinterpreted or views as unprofessional. Furthermore, direct communication can be much more effective for those who may struggle with communication. Also, some people have their own set of skills for communicating face to face and are much more fluid and clear to people who struggle with communicating. Communicating face to face helps a person communication skills, you can communicate better with your spouse, kids, friends, classmates, teachers, and coworkers. All in all, face to face communication allows people to chat anywhere, anytime, and of course to everyone. In addition, when a person is face to face with another person they can easily show their emotion. Showing emotions can build intimacy but through a letter, telephone and email there is always a question and feeling. For example, if a person discuss a sensitive problem, to a friend in a direct communication they can suspect whether you are trustworthy, or if a person is lying. Also when a person is falling in love, the best way they can show their feeling is flirting face to face because it show euphoria. Also seeing someone expressing themself to another person face to face will sense the same emotion. Furthermore, communication is meaningful when we personalize it and give a human face. When a person is face to face with someone they can see and responds to people reaction, like facial expression, body language, as well as their tone of voice. Human being is so complex that one can express his or her emotions and attitude by using hundreds of facial expressions. For example, they can show how they feels about another person by moving their eyebrow, and smiling. However, if a person uses email, or instant message you can simply see texts and it’s very hard to know if the other person is willing to communicate with you again. Finally, direct communication make people more close and friendly. By communicating face to face people can decide who they want to share their personal issues with and they can talk to a person comfortably. Face to face communication can help an individual reflect themself alot during a discussion.
