Pepsi Co. is a multinational food and beverage manufacturer producing and distributing snacks, beverage and other consumable products. As some of you might have already known, the first Pepsi bottle was produced at the beginning of the 20th century, but it was not until 1965 that there was a fully incorporated firm distributing the product, or in short, Pepsi Co was officially founded in1965 in Delaware. Its headquarters are now located in Purchase, New York. With over 2500000 employees, an annual net revenue of 43 billion dollars, over a hundred brands, Pepsi Co. is currently the second largest food and beverage company in the world.
That’s all the basic background information I want to deliver in this section. Now, to learn how Pepsi earned its current place, its strengths and weaknesses, we will move on to the second part with a SWOT analysis of Pepsi.
STRENGTHS OF PEPSI
Pepsi is a company with a long history. Pepsi was first introduced as "Brad's Drink" in United States in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, who made it at his drugstore where the drink was sold. Bradham sought to create a fountain drink that was delicious and boost energy. Its’ products are served to more than 10 million stores per week in more than 200 countries. In order to connect with customers and satisfy their needs, Pepsi strives to make the products available in customers’ popular shopping areas. The key accounts are different wholesalers, restaurants and hotels like Pizza Hut, KFC which serve as a place for key sale. Pepsi have also refrigerated vending machines at various locations and workplaces.Service the right pack size at the right price, in the right place at the right time.
