My Sweet Serenity Everything about the ocean makes me smile. The energy of all the climate uncertainties working in unison, all of the organisms living together, and even the beautifulness of it all puts a smile on my face. I have always loved the ocean since the first vacation I can remember. I remember standing on the balcony overlooking the ocean. There was never a moment where the wind wasn’t blowing if only just a slight breeze. The sun was setting across the water when I spotted a pod of dolphins leaping out of the water. Since that day the ocean has been my solitude of peace. Deep sea fishing creates scenes that would blow your mind. It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It amazes me how crystal clear the water is. My favorite part is to scan my eyes across the water and see the sun shimmer over the waves and see it streak through the water like a glass of filtered water. The beaches are gorgeous during the sunrise right after the workers drag the chains. The white sand is almost overwhelmingly white in the morning sunlight but I can’t look away. Even the birds of the beaches are as beautiful as anything I have ever seen. Until I started learning all about the organisms of the ocean I didn’t understand how diverse it really was. There are literally millions of organisms living together from the tiniest microbe to the largest whale shark. It’s funny how all of the organisms work together to form the chain of life which keeps the ocean functioning so smoothly. The mystery of what actually lives under that vast mass of water is part of the unknown that drives us to want us to learn more. It sparks my inner crypto zoologist because I never know what is down in the deepest caves. Everyone has heard of Yin and Yang but not many people know what it actually represents. It
