On The 5 th Day
DAY 1... It was a beautiful day in New Orleans, Louisiana, when David and Kari were preparing for their six year old daughter Micayla’s birthday when she suddenly vanished without a clue. The next morning when they woke up and couldn’t find her they immediately called the cops. After waiting hours, the detectives finally arrived and asked the parents for a picture of their daughter and some physical triats that made her unique.
“I hope y’all ain’t got nothin’ to hide, because anything that’s important that’s left out can be important to this investigation.” Detective Emes said her country voice. Both parents stressed out, begged detective Emes to just do anything in her power to find their daughter. After the detective left David and Kari start falling out asking and wondering why this had happened to them. Both were left confused at that fact that this would even be an issue.
“How could this happen to us!!!!” screamed Kari.
“We just need to calm down about it, she will be fine, we will find her.” David said.
“Are you sure about that because it been already 12 hours since her disappearing!”
Day 2… It has been two days since David and Kari’s daughter had been missing. Not knowing a clue about the case Kari gets furious and goes down to the police station. When she arrives detective Emes tells Kari that she was just about to give her a call to come down and that they got a follow up on some leads.
“Take a seat Mrs. Ames, the main suspect in your daughter’s case we think is white male, always wears a bowtie, and appears to be a serial predator of children who kills the children on the fifth day of captivity” says detective.
Kari sits there in total shock while tears run down her eyes. “Well since you know, go get her, go find my daughter!!” Kari shouted.
Detective Emes takes a deep breath and then says, “It’s not that easy Mrs. Ames, we’ve been following him for several months now but we haven’t yet found probable cause to arrest him, which means we have to go to higher authority and get an FBI agent on the case. I will tell you that I will do everything I possibly can to find her.”
Kari gets up and walks out of the police station in total shock not knowing what will come next. She returns home when she gets a note from her husband saying that he went to put up flyers. Kari looked like a total wreck for the past day and a half. About 3 hours later, David returns crying and sobbing about how much he wished he would have watched her closer that night. Kari goes to comfort him but all he does is simply walk away. The house was much divided now that a piece was missing. Both David and Kari felt like they could not deal with the fact that the thing they both loved was missing. With them both being stressed out it was very hard for both to come to an understanding. Later that night Kari had fallen asleep on the sofa and heard a strange noise coming from the window. Scared she had wakened David to aware him about the noise, they saw a shadow and footprints in their back yard. The couple called the detective and she sent over an off duty cop over so they could feel safe.
Day 3… It has already been three days since David and Kari’s daughter had been missing with only one main suspect, and Emes knocked on the door early that morning and asked to talk to both parents.
“I thought you had nothing to hide Kari, I asked you to tell me everything?” detective Emes said.
“Wait, what are you talking about?!” Mrs. Ames did you tell your husband you used to be for a pimp, and that owing him money could have driven him to taking your daughter?” detective Emes shouted.
David stares in shock. Kari burst out in tears. “I didn’t think so.” said detective Emes. “Now is it anything else you wanna say?” in shock Kari just stares.
Detective Emes looks around and leaves those two alone to talk about this and tells them to come down to the station later that day. “Are you serious?” David said. “This
