The short story Supertoys and the movie AI, although similar, have distinct differences in the way each story plays out. Both have identical characters and plot, with only the setting differing as it is it is expanded on in the film AI compared to a single general setting in Supertoys. Supertoys is set in the future but most of the characters action is particularly set in and around the families house, while the setting of AI changes from the family’s home to the city and even a wood.
