Throughout The Jungle, many of Sinclair’s characters are not versatile or convincing characters as they are representing the force of the immigrant workers as a whole. The characteristics of Jurgi’s characters are made to make him more entreating towards the overall average American reader, which at the start of the novel; he has absolutely no unpleasant traits. He’s shown to be young, strong, optimistic, energetic, devoted to his family, and rabid about his new country. There’s a second child, the daughter of the Bennet family, and also the most intellectual and perceptive, Elizabeth is the protagonist of Pride and Prejudice who happens to be a well-known female character in English Literature. In the novel, Heart of Darkness, Marlow is a problematic man who assumes the characters of top modernism which also does reflect his Victorian ancestors. 2. In The Jungle, it is alleged that what pursues is witnessed or learned by Jurgi’s, but his perspective, let alone, vanishes in the consecutive argument. When love conquers over pride in social status for Darcy, it conquers over prejudice for Elizabeth.
