2. Cromwell manipulated the people of England to thing he was a great king, but in realty he should be considered a tyrant. Charles I was a prosperous but not well liked king, but Cromwell with his aid of parliament portrayed him as a terrible king and had Charles, the king of England, executed for treason. This gave him the opportunity to take the throne. Once he took the throne, he turned out to be a bad king. Cromwell was very disliked by the people and did nothing for the good of England. So Cromwell caused the execution of the King and took the throne but did nothing with this opportunity. This shows the lack of respect for the country of England that Cromwell had and that Cromwell did this for personal gains. That is why Cromwell fits the definition of tyrant.
5. The civil wars of England were started by a lot of things but one of the most controversial things was the crown’s struggle for increased revenue. One of the most well know traits of the Stuart dynasty were that they never had enough money. James I always pressed Parliament to give him more money to spend on his military and ends up dismissing parliament 2 times, for that reason. This creates a lot of tension between Parliament and the King. Through the Stuart rule, Parliament is disbanded and reunited many times by the King of England just because the King wants more money.
