Strengthfinder Journal After taking the Strengthfinder assessment, the results showed that I have strengths in 5 different themes. These strengths are deliberative, responsibility, consistency, activator, and harmony. After reading about each of these strengths, I do agree with the assessment that this is an excellent indication of me. Deliberative is the top strength. When in a crowd, either in a restaurant or mall, I’m very careful of how many people I actually come in proximity to and go to great extremes to avoid the larger crowds. I’m constantly aware of where I am and where everyone else is. Being part of a group and having to talk about myself at times makes me very uncomfortable and will try and turn the conversation around to someone else as much as possible. I do have strong sense of responsibility. When I was placed as head of security for our church, we had no one besides me on the team with no operating procedures to follow. I felt that since this church trusted me with this task then I needed to provide the best security I could. From this point I started recruiting people and developing a security guidance manual. After six months we now have a fully functional security team of eight members and formal operating manual for the team. Consistency was the third strength. During basic training there was a young man who was not quite as fast on picking up on the training which led to him being singled out by most everyone. During our physical fitness testing no one would support or encourage him. After my testing was done I would go back and cheer him on. I kept this up time after time and talked to the rest of the trainees about how we should support him. By the end of the class, everyone of us was out there supporting him through whatever testing we were going through and he finally graduated basics an honor graduate.
