Able Corporation is a successful US manufacturing company located in Tennessee that builds power tools, lawn mowers, lawn furniture, microwaves, and ranges. All products are manufactured locally and sold through large retailers like Sears, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart. They have sale papers inserted in every Wednesday and Sunday paper. Although they have a thriving business in the US and Canada, Able is trying to break into the global marketplace.

Within the continual improvement plans there will be a matrix of methods designed to evaluate, redirect, and control the appropriate inputs. Some of the most important inputs will come from the clientele by which the appropriate client’s representative will fill out an online survey. This data will be extrapolated in order to establish a baseline and utilized to loop back to improve raised concerns. Internal communication will be utilized to gain effectiveness through team building exercises from cross functional managers that have experienced cultural knowledge from the field. Operations will build upon efficiencies collected to continually improve processes by way of human resources brainstorming sessions. Global collaborations will be setup through internet meetings on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews. Benchmarks will be created from data collection sites and measured using quantitative measuring programs in order to gain the highest possible profit margins. Technology will be the main avenue in all the feedback loops and implementation steps that will be established in order to continually raise the bar in customer service, quality, and ultimately profitability.
