According to Gwyn chapter 6 storytelling is one of the oldest and most quintessentially human of activities (p. 139). The chapter states that most people construct a narrative around their experiences of illness, and it is through the hearing and telling of stories that human beings have always come to understand their experiences (Gwyn, 2002).

Below are three examples of storytelling used in ADHD. The first store describes a diagnosis of ADHD as a kid. And the other two is about 2 young persons that were diagnosed while in college.
