College park , GA, May 2009 a group of 10 students were at a BDay party when two masked gun men burst into the apt demanding cell phones and wallets. They separated the men from the women. According to the students one of the men asked the other how many bullets he had. The other responded, “Enough”. One can only imagine how the outcome of this event was going to end. But one of the students decided he was not going to be a victim. He shot at the gun man watching over the males who ran into the bathroom and jumped out the window. He ran into the other room where the women were being held captive to see that he was about to rape one of the women. He then shot the second masked man who also fled and was found dead near his apt. bldg. If more law abiding citizens carried or owned firearms there would be less crime. Criminals would have to second guess if they think there attacks were going to be on an easy target or a person exercising their right to the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment states that “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. For those that do not know, for an American that wants to own/carry a firearm there are standards to meet. You cannot be a convicted felon. You cannot have a misdemeanor involving violence or 2 DUI’s within the past 3 years. You cannot be dishonorably discharged from the military. With these facts you can see why the average gun owner is more law conscious than some criminal who doesn’t abide by these rules. In Dec of 2011, Augusta, Maine a 51 yr old woman was kidnapped at a Wal-Mart parking lot. She was force drive her own car by gun point. He had her pull up to an ATM and pull out money for him. Another case as recent as May 2012 a person was kidnapped at a Wal-Mart parking lot. She later escaped. This doesn’t mean don’t ever shop at Wal-Mart again. They are just reported crimes I’m using to prove my point
