Moonrise Kingdom
Moonrise Kingdom is a narrative film in which the writer Wes Anderson tells a romantic love story of two adolescents. Anderson uses different methods such as characters expressions and specific events to portray this in the film. One could compare this film to the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet. While Romeo and Juliet is considered to be a tragic love story, Moonlight Kingdom is a film with comedic overtones and more of a light hearted storyline. A second scene where the love story is evident is when Anderson has Sam and Suzy meeting in the prairie to run away together. Sam and Suzy are showing their love for one another by going to any lengths possible to be with each other.
