1 Africa- A vast continent stretching from deserts of Sahara to the fertile tracts of Nile, from Atlas mountains in the north to the Cape of Good Hope in south; this might be the first picture that comes to our mind, while you think about Africa. There is more to Africa than just the natural, scenic beauty of landscapes. Africa also has a rich tradition of leaders, environmentalists, sportsmen and statesmen. Let's study a few of these personalities.

2 African Family Traditions
Africa has a multicultural society with inerrable African tribes and ethic groups throughout the content. Each group of people has customs that are unique to them. However, in all ethnic groups throughout Africa, the family unit is of the utmost importance and it is reflected in the customs of each tribe, One traditional custom in Africa culture is that of lobola where the groom pays the farther of the bride in order to compensate for the loss of the man’s daughter. Traditionally, lobola was paid in cattle, a valued commodity in many African cultures, but today many modern couples pay lobola in cash. Lobola is intended to bring together two families, fostering mutual respect. It also indicates that the groom is financially capable of supporting his wife. The negotiations of lobola can take up to two days.

The rang of customs and traditions in Africa is as diverse as it size. From tribal cultures south of the Sahara Desert to the Muslim dominated north, customs vary country to country, region to region. Some Africa cultures share similar customs, especially when weddings, food and hospitality and concerned. Many customs originated out of ancient rituals, while others were born of necessity. For centuries, many Africa nations and tribes were a warning bunch, and showing proper respect and graciousness is considered wise.

Africa’s economic malaise is self-perpetuating, as it engenders more of disease, warfare, misgovernment, and corruption that created it in the first place.
