One of my older cousins has been involved in various acts of criminal behavior. My cousin David started committing criminal acts when he entered high school. He was an avid drug user and consumed large amounts of alcohol every weekend. David has been charged with OWI offenses numerous times and possession of drug paraphernalia as well. I believe that the main cause of David’s criminal behavior came from his friends. He hung out with a family that was locally known for their criminal backgrounds. David didn’t have many friends in high school, so he felt he needed to belong. Unfortunately, he committed criminal acts to become initiated into this family’s clique. David became an avid drug user and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia numerous times. His expensive addiction made him become poor and he ended up living in a crummy one bedroom apartment. After a few years, David quit taking drugs such as acid, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Unfortunately, to this very day, David finds other products to satisfy his addiction. Members of my family caught David sniffing gasoline, lacquer thinner, keyboard cleaner, and other household products. It greatly disappoints my family and me.
