A society is a group of people with common territory, interaction, and culture. Sociology looks at people as being part of a web, depending on other groups and defined by other groups
2. What is sociology
Sociology is the science that studies social behaviour, including its origins, development, organization, and institutions. It is a social science that uses various methods of investigation and critical analysis to develop a body of knowledge about social order, social disorder and social change.

Culture: these are the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society
Norms: these are standards of behaviour that are generally accepted and maintained by society, they can be both formal; like written laws and regulations and also informal; like how you are expected to dress or talk or treat the elderly
Socialization: this is the process by which an individual acquires a personal identity and learns the norms, values, behaviour, and social skills appropriate to his or her social position
