The family dynamics within a family can differ so greatly and be very alike all at the same time. The information that is going to be provided below is on a broad spectrum of family dynamics because there is so much to cover. Family dynamics covers things from why children are depressed, single parent households, stresses of working parents and the roles men and women play and many more. Family dynamics affect the way a person grows up and what their social norms are and what is expected out of them. Many things can affect the family dynamic some positive and some negative so I will try and give clear and concise information on this subject to give a better perspective.
The research I have found on the family dynamic seems to be existing research for example while researching this subject I already knew that in a single parent household there would be more than likely less money and more depression among the children and parent. Much of the information that is given from research about family dynamics are things that have been going on for many years, people are aware of all this because it goes on in our everyday lives. In the family dynamics area it is mainly about families and what affects them, children being poor because of growing up in a single parent household, families trying to juggle work and family, money issues, depression stemming from being a poor family and the way divorce affects a family.
Social roles and role conflict play a big part in marriages because much too often women are stereotyped, conflict can arise between spouses because the women earn more money and the man feels incompetent therefore can lead to anger stress and divorce. I just wanted to start off with divorce because it seems to be an ever growing issue that affects many families and children in the process. Even though “documented benefits of marriage, such as greater wealth, increased assets, higher likelihood of being healthy, and higher likelihood of satisfaction and happiness, the likelihood of marriage has decreased and the likelihood of divorce has increased”(Withers.
