Pig personality test and glass test
“Understanding personality types is helpful for appreciating that while people are different, everyone has a value, and special strengths and qualities, and that everyone should be treated with care and respect.”(1) http://www.businessballs.com/personalitystylesmodels.htm
In this research my aim is to test people on how optimistic or pessimistic they are by having them draw a pig. In addition, they will also be questioned on whether a glass is ‘Half full’ or ‘half empty’. All these experiments are done to know peoples view on things. The research will be based at a college in which 18 random will take part in the experiment.
To carry out this test each participants needs to draw a pig of their liking onto a blank sheet of paper and straight after that they will be given a glass which is filled is up half way and they will have to answer whether they think the glass is ‘half full’ or ‘half empty’.
In addition a tally mark will be drawn to put data on whether a person is a pessimist, optimist or a realist. People’s answers which are neither ‘half full’ nor ‘half empty’ will be invalid. The following details will describe a person’s personality depending on where they drew the pig/how much detail they drew/ if the pig is facing left or right/long or short tail/4 legs or less than 4/ whether the pig has ears or not.
Where they drew the pig:
Toward the top of the paper – You have a tendancy to be positive and optimistic.
Toward the middle – You have a tendency to be a realist.
Toward the bottom – You have a tendency to be pessimistic and may be prone to behaving negatively.
Which direction the pig is facing:
Facing left – You have a tendency to believe in tradition and be friendly; you may also be prone to remembering dates well.
Facing Right – You have a tendency to be innovative and active, but may be prone to forgetting dates easily and may not have a strong sense of family.
